Rack Power Visibility Where You Need It
The ADS ACU iPDU combines intelligent power distribution with networked monitoring and control. As a result, data centre teams can see how much power a rack uses, monitor key electrical measurements and respond when defined limits are reached.
Rather than providing a single specification for every application, the range offers four levels of functionality. Therefore, you can choose the monitoring and control capabilities that suit each rack without introducing a completely different management platform.

Accurate Power Data
Every ADS ACU iPDU provides overall energy monitoring with accuracy of better than 1%. Consequently, each iPDU monitors key electrical parameters including RMS voltage, RMS current, kilowatts, power factor, frequency, kVA and kWh.
Furthermore, IP2, IP3 and IP4 extend this visibility to individual outlets. They measure Amps, VA and kWh at outlet level, helping operators understand exactly where rack power is being consumed.
Local and Remote Management
Firstly, operators can view information locally through the integrated display or alternatively access the iPDU remotely across the network.
The built-in web interface simplifies day-to-day monitoring and configuration.
Furthermore, the iPDU can communicate with wider management platforms through protocols such as SNMP. Email alerts and SNMP traps can also notify operators when critical parameters exceed configured limits.
Bring iPDU Data Into Sensorium DCIM
An individual iPDU gives you detailed rack power information. However, its value increases when you combine that information with the rest of the data centre infrastructure.
The ADS ACU iPDU can integrate with third-party management platforms through its MIB file. Consequently, Sensorium DCIM can bring power data together with environmental conditions, infrastructure alarms and other monitored systems within a common management environment.
Flexible Configuration
The ACU platform supports single, dual and three-phase configurations with overall energy measurement up to 125A*.
In addition, multi-outlet configurations can support up to 48 outlets, while different socket types and mains lead terminations allow the PDU to suit the installation. As a result, the range supports horizontal and vertical configurations, and IP1 can also operate as an inline monitoring solution.
